Disclaimer: this post is a bit bossy.

If you are not feeling well, don't use it as an excuse to avoid healthy eating habits. You're setting yourself back. "Too sick to eat well" is not a sentence that makes sense.

It comes from an attitude that still depicts a lack of understanding of the fact that nutrition is the most helpful, plentiful, care-taking thing we can possibly do for ourselves.

When you're stressed, beautiful and nutritious foods will help you. When you're tired, you can use nutrition to get a vital energy boost.  When you're fighting an infection, a crunchy, colourful salad will go to battle for you.  When you're depressed, a great snack can boost your serotonin levels and make you feel light and optimistic!  When your brain is foggy, colourful produce and satiating proteins sharpen your vision, tidy up your thoughts and help you float onward progressively.

We all have off-track moments. We all get too stressed to TRY, sometimes.  I get it. Sometimes you have to say 'F*** it I'm eating this pizza and having a nap and I don't care about anything'.  But the next day, or maybe the next hour, you have to snap out of it. I'm sorry, but that's just your responsibility as a human being.  Give in for a moment, but then no one is going to pull you out and get you going again except you (and of course if you recruit help, we'll get you in the mindset to do so). You're responsible for you, and you're also responsible for spreading goodness among others.  All of us are.

Acquiring a taste for nutrition can be uphill at first, of course.  But if you want to make things easier on yourself, to stop feeling like life's burdens are against you, you are going to have to embrace what nutrition has to offer you eventually.  It is our most valuable tool as humans!  It is not your enemy, it has got its hands out waiting for you to grab on and to help you through all of life's more difficult components. TAKE IT!

We often need some help learning the best way to compose our meals, the best choices to make... that's what professionals are for and that's what this blog is for.   But the one who makes the call, who maintains the persistence, who stops lying to oneself is you. Just you.

When you have access to these wonderful power-packed, life-sorting foods, please take advantage the majority of the time.  Then watch the wonderful chain of events that unfolds when you do.
