This is my new obsession. I get excited to get up in the mornings to toss back this smooth, warm coffee drink with a kick. Adding turmeric will increase your antioxidant levels and also acts as an anti-imflammatory (think everything from healthy joints to flawless skin). The cinnamon is a great blood sugar stabilizer. All in all, a wonderful start to the day.

You can heat the "milk" stovetop, simply heating your almond or cashew milk and whisking in the spices, or you can do the lazy way that I've been doing:

Put 1/2 - 3/4 cup of cashew (or almond, or coconut) milk in a jar. Add 1 tsp each of organic turmeric and cinnamon. Shake. Pour it in a milk frother (yeah, this is a mega worthwhile indulgence for me because I'm a hot drink fanatic).

Sometimes I'll only add half the mixture to my two shots of espresso and save the rest in the jar for the next go around. It's as delicious and interesting as it is beautiful - no syrups, and you still get that great toasty autumn flavour.
