This past week I have continued to stay on top of my food, minus this past Sunday when my friends took me away for my bachelorette and I found myself indulging in chicken fingers and sweet potatoes! Oh, and what is a drink (or 5) without Doritos sweet chili heat chips? I had not had them in over 7 months and they tasted great! However, despite the amazing taste, I felt bloated and uncomfortable. Thankfully the feeling did not last long. Throughout this process of transformation, I have noticed a significant improvement in my digestive system! It deserves to be mentioned. Before starting with Jess, for the longest time I thought I had IBS (many of you can probably relate to this). I'll be honest and tell you I had symptoms like cramps, diarrhea, constipation, and feeling bloated all the time. I was unable to digest the food I ate properly. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing. But, for the past 7 months I have not had any of the above symptoms. I'm digesting food well: I have balanced healthier meals, I've cut down on dairy and gluten and I make sure I have lots of water and vegetables! I did not expect my issue to go away since I struggled with it for so long. At one point I saw a doctor and he prescribed pills to help me digest- that obviously did not work! Who knew all I needed to do was change what and how I was eating?
