How many of you stretch? If you don't, you probably should. And if you need to know WHEN to do it, please check this past post: When Should I Stretch? This stretch is a favourite of my clients. It stretches the piriformis muscle which lies deep in the glute, and which, when inflamed, can cause Sciatica. It affects the sciatic nerve which can then shoot pain all the way down your leg. Not only does this stretch aid that situation for those affected by it, but it also stretches both the hip extensors and the hip flexors, at the same time.

Remember, the hips can get tight for ALL of us. Too much sitting, driving, or even running, biking, walking can tighten up the hips.
Add this one in after your workout, or after a quick warm-up on the days you don't workout, and live more comfortably and balanced.
